Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, was honoured as the Grand Patron of the Ibori Golf and Country Club, (IGCC) Asaba, during a dinner party to round off the 2025 Governors Invitational Golf Tournament, hosted by the Board of Trustees of IGCC, led by its Captain, Chief Patrick Ukah.
The event was held in celebration of the Governor’s 62nd birthday.
In his remarks, Oborevwori thanked the club for the investiture and commended the organisers and sponsors for a successful event.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to peace, security, and positioning Delta as a hub for not just oil and gas, but also hospitality, tourism, and sports.
Oborevwori highlighted Delta’s victories at the National Youth Games and National Sports Festival in Ogun State, describing them as proof of the state’s sporting strength.
He added that Delta remains investor-friendly, citing timely contractor payments and consistent development across the state.
