Oborevwori inaugurates 44-member Delta Advisory Council

Oborevwori inaugurates members of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council 

The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Tuesday, inaugurated members of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council.

The Governor during the event held at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, described them as men and women of great wisdom, exemplary character, track record of performance, and proven leadership qualities.

While noting that since 1999 every successive administration in the state has made peace and security one of its cardinal objectives. Governor Oborevwori said that his administration is committed to ensuring that the peace is currently enjoyed in the state is not only sustained, but also strengthened through the MORE agenda, which has enhanced peace and security as the fourth pillar.

Oborevwori congratulated the new members of the council on their well-deserved appointments and charged them to be proactive in advising on appropriate peace building platforms to ensure the successful implementation of the policies and programmes of Government.
