Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewovori, and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas are set to attend the 25th annual conference and award ceremony of the Nigeria Association for Physical and Health Education, Recreation Sports, and Dance (NAPHER-SD), Delta State branch on Thursday, November 21, at 11am at Delta State University’s Oleh Campus.
Renowned scholars and professors will deliver talks at the conference with the theme: “Resilience through sports, health and physical education businesses for mitigating economic challenges and promoting national development”.
Hon. Uruemu Oghenede-Roy will chair the occasion, which will also honour veteran sports personalities and other notable individuals for their contributions to sports and society.
Commissioners for Higher Education (Professor Nyerhowo Tunukari), Basic and Secondary Education (Mrs. Rose Ezewu), and Primary Education (Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu)
Distinguished professors and university dons will also receive recognition.
This prestigious event promises to be an exciting celebration of 25 years of NAPHER-SD promoting physical and health education, recreation, and sports in Nigeria.
It will be climaxed with a state election to elect a new executive that will pilot the affair of the Association in the next four years.
