Oborevwori Names Promise Ogumu SSA on Youth Mobilization

In a notable move, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has named Mr. Promise Ogumu as his Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization.

The appointment has sparked conversations both within political circles and the wider community.

Mr. Ogumu, known for his background in biochemistry and environmental advocacy, has built a strong reputation for empowering young people across the state.

Through his foundation, he has consistently supported underserved communities, earning him broad recognition and respect.

In 2023, Mr. Ogumu stepped into the political arena, running for the Ika North East State Constituency seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr. Ogumu’s strong commitment to grassroots mobilization was clear during his service as the coordinator for the 2023 presidential and gubernatorial elections in Ika North East, Delta State.

After receiving his appointment letter at the office of the Secretary to the State Government in Asaba, he thanked Governor Oborevwori for deeming him worthy of the role.

He praised the governor as a “promise keeper” and vowed to play an even greater role in advancing the state’s development.

Ogumu also commended former Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his role in the appointment, expressing gratitude for the solid foundation Okowa laid for his successor, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori—who, he noted, has been true to his campaign promises.

With this new role, Mr. Ogumu’s dedication to Delta State’s growth is poised to reach new heights.

As he teams up with the governor, his experience and commitment are sure to play a key role in pushing forward the state’s growth and development goals.
