Oborevwori Set to Kick Off Construction of 11.7km Okpanam–Ugbolu Road

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will officially kick off the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The announcement was made on Sunday in Asaba by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

According to Ahon, the flag-off ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Ugbolu. He emphasized that the road project is a key part of the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and boosting connectivity within the Asaba capital territory.

Ahon highlighted that the new road will not only ease traffic congestion but also open up economic and residential opportunities while strengthening ties between the rapidly developing communities of Okpanam and Ugbolu.

He called on residents of both towns and nearby areas to attend the event in large numbers, saying the project is yet another strong example of Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and his dedication to delivering meaningful development across Delta State.
