Official: Lookman Reacts to West Ham Transfer News

According to the report, it is asserted that the Hammers are seeking a new winger following the sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham for a fee of £55 million.

The 27-year-old is a suitable candidate, having scored 20 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions for Atalanta in the previous season.

It remains uncertain whether Graham Potter and his team can finalize a deal for the former Fulham player.

In light of the rumors regarding a transfer to the London Stadium, Lookman has responded to the recent acquisition by the E20 club.

Kyle Walker-Peters was officially announced as a new signing in East London on July 20, and he took to Instagram to share his excitement about the move, stating: “My new home. Excited to be here, can’t wait to get started!”

Lookman, who played alongside the new Hammers player in the England youth teams, sent a congratulatory message after the transfer was completed, using a heart and a flexed bicep emoji in his comment.

Reportedly, Lookman is eager to return to English football after a successful period in Italy, and Potter needs a winger following Kudus’s departure.

Renowned commentator Ian Darke opines that the former Everton and Leicester player would serve as an excellent replacement for Kudus, describing him as “electric.”

He is considered a superior player compared to the new Spurs signing and has significantly developed as a footballer since his last appearance in the Premier League with the Foxes.

The Italian club is thought to be seeking a fee of £52 million for the Nigerian international, who has recorded 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances since his transfer in 2022, and the Hammers have recently received more than that amount from the sale of the Ghanaian.
