Songs of praise and gratitude filled the air in Agbarho Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, as hundreds of residents turned out for a free medical outreach organized by APC chieftain and founder of Christ Envoy International, Rev. Tony Ogugu, in partnership with Crest Point Hope Alliance (USA).
Rev. Ogugu explained that the outreach was designed to provide essential healthcare services to the people of Agbarho and nearby communities. He said the initiative was part of his way of giving back to society from the blessings God has bestowed on him.
Speaking during the event held along Ehwerhe Road, Agbarho, Rev. Ogugu said, “We are conducting sugar tests for diabetes, giving out medications, and offering hepatitis testing, as well as treatment for typhoid and malaria. We hope to attend to at least 200 people today. This is an opportunity for our people to know their health status early and prevent complications.”
The General Coordinator of the outreach, Rev. John Ogheneovo, applauded Rev. Ogugu for his selfless gesture, describing the program as timely and impactful. “We appreciate Rev. Tony Ogugu for bringing this initiative to our community. Medical services are expensive, but here, everything is absolutely free from tests to medication,” he said.
During the outreach, beneficiaries were screened for high blood pressure and diabetes, and treated for ailments such as malaria, typhoid, and respiratory infections.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Stella Omoyoma, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizer. “I’m very thankful to Rev. Tony Ogugu for bringing this free medical outreach to Agbarho. It’s a huge relief for many of us who can’t afford hospital bills. May God bless and protect him and his family,” she said with joy.
The event not only provided vital healthcare but also renewed hope and compassion within the community a testament to what kindness and faith-inspired service can achieve.
