Okere-Urhobo Youth President denounces “unauthorized” press briefing on INEC delineation report

The Youth President of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Hon. Eboh Okpako Elvis, has strongly condemned a recent press conference organized by Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, Chief Jude Onovughe Igherebo, and others, describing it as “unauthorized” and “shameful.”

Addressing journalists in Warri on Tuesday, Hon. Eboh, joined by other key stakeholders of the kingdom, distanced the recognized leadership of Okere-Urhobo from the views expressed at the press briefing.

He asserted that the statements made do not represent the official position of the kingdom concerning the delineation report released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“The organizers of that press conference are nothing more than political jobbers, attempting to mislead the public for selfish reasons,” Hon. Eboh stated.

“As Youth President, I can confirm that the constituted leadership of the Okere-Urhobo Kingdom has not yet issued any official position on the delineation report released on April 4th.”

He explained that the kingdom is still reviewing the report and will present a united and informed position at the appropriate time.

Hon. Eboh also criticized the individuals behind the press event, accusing them of being absent during the crucial phases of last year’s delineation efforts.

“They were missing when we endured difficult conditions to ensure that our communities were properly represented. “
