Executive Director, Finance and Administration at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Kome Okpobor, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on being named South-South Governor of the Year.
The award, conferred by organisers of the Progressive Digital Media Summit on August 1, 2025, in Abuja, was formally presented to the Governor on August 11.
Okpobor described the honour as a recognition of Oborevwori’s visionary leadership, dedication to service, and steadfast commitment to youth empowerment and innovation in Delta State and the wider South-South region.
Praising the Governor’s humility and people-focused governance style, Okpobor said the achievements of the Oborevwori administration continue to inspire citizens, leaders, and stakeholders.
“This award is truly well deserved, and I am honoured to join in celebrating this remarkable milestone with His Excellency,” Okpobor stated.
