The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, has emphasized the critical role of traditional institutions in strengthening peace, stability, and security across Nigeria.
The monarch made this assertion on Tuesday during his visit to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State.
In his remarks, Ogiame Atuwatse III highlighted the deep-rooted connection between traditional rulers and their communities, noting that such ties enable them to play a unique role in supporting security operations at the grassroots level.
“Traditional institutions must remain impartial arbiters of justice because trust remains central to our mission,” the Olu of Warri said, stressing that credibility and fairness are vital in sustaining harmony and cooperation among citizens.
The revered monarch also commended the dedication and sacrifices of Nigeria’s security agencies, acknowledging their tireless efforts in safeguarding the nation and ensuring a crime-free society.
