Omadino community in Warri South Local Government Area has expressed appreciation to Tantita Security Limited for offering employment opportunities to several of its indigenes, describing the gesture as a meaningful contribution to community development and national security.
The commendation was issued during a press briefing where community leaders emphasized that the initiative reflects mutual respect and ongoing cooperation between both parties.
Speaking on behalf of the Elders, Management Committee, Youths and Women of Omadino, the Chief Priest of the community and Chairman of the Legal and Litigation Committee stated that the employment slots represent a significant step toward strengthening local engagement and fostering good working relations.
He clarified that while Omadino has longstanding boundary concerns with the neighbouring Gbaramatu Kingdom, those issues should not be misconstrued as a dispute with Tantita Security Limited.
He stressed that the security firm has continued to carry out surveillance and protection duties across Omadino territory without conflict, noting that their collaboration is rooted in a shared commitment to safeguarding national economic assets, especially those linked to oil and gas operations. According to him, potential dialogue between Omadino and Gbaramatu leaders is being considered to address territorial matters through peaceful and traditional dispute-resolution channels.
Reaffirming Omadino’s identity as an Itsekiri community under the sovereignty of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the spokesperson urged indigenes who have secured placement with Tantita to demonstrate discipline, professionalism and loyalty in their duties. He reminded them that their service contributes not only to personal livelihood but also to national economic stability.
He extended gratitude to the management of Tantita Security Limited for what he described as a thoughtful and inclusive gesture, expressing optimism that the renewed partnership will foster continued peace, socio-economic progress, and unity among neighbouring communities.
The community concluded by calling for sustained cooperation, community empowerment and dialogue-driven coexistence in the region.
