One Hundred and Twenty Women Empowered in Ughelli North, South, Udu Local Government Areas

Olotu and Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation has empowered over one hundred and twenty women drawn from Ughelli North , Ughelli South and Udu Local Government Areas of Delta State with cash and gifts.

Coordinator of the foundation, Dr Olotu Akpodiete said the cash and gifts empowerment aimed to boost the businesses of the beneficiaries was to reward them for their commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Coordinator of Olotu and Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation, Dr Olotu Akpodiete said the empowerment programme was part of efforts to immortalize his late father Olorogun Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete.

He noted that the one hundred and twenty beneficiaries drawn from Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Local Government Areas were given cash to boost their businesses as well as gifts.

The donor urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the cash received and promised to extend the gesture to others. Dr Akpodiete said the empowerment programme was a reward for the beneficiaries commitment to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP,.

He called for unity and commitment to enable them build on the strength of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on behalf of the U3 women, the LGA woman leader of Udu PDP, Mrs. Godspower Kigho Okiemute and chairman of PDP Ughelli North, Hon.Daniel Emaye and that of Udu, Comrade Keniare Aghogho thanked the donor, Dr Olotu Akpodiete for the gesture and promised to sustain their support for the PDP.

The highlights of the summit was the empowerment of over 120 PDP women with cash and gift items by the convener of the summit, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete, under the umbrella of OERA Foundation.
