The Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has inaugurated the Senatorial District Management Committee.
Members of Committee, who were carefully selected from the four ethnic nationalities that make up Delta South Senatorial District, were inaugurated on Friday in the Abuja office of the Senator at the National Assembly Complex.
While addressing members of the Committee, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, said, “During our campaigns, I promised to give an all inclusive representation to our people. The setting up of this Committee is the beginning of taking action in respect of my commitment to my people.
“This Committee is charged with the responsibility of advising me on the ways to render people oriented services to the people of the Senatorial District.
“I urge you all to identify the members of this Committee from the respective ethnic nationality you belong to and relate with them on any issue that demands the attention of my Office. In other words, they are my ears and eyes in the different nationalities.
“Members of this Senatorial Management Committee were carefully selected from the four ethnic nationalities that make up Delta South Senatorial District. They are to guide me in giving quality and quantitative representation to the grassroots.”
The Members are as follows: Chief Lucky Jerry-Esigie, Chief Michael Johnny, Chief Ovuozorie Macaulay, Chief Benard Okumagba, Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo, Chief Clement Moni, Hon. (Dr.) Okiemute Essien, Prophet Jones Erue, Chief Michael Seikegba, Hon. Evans Omatsegbuwa, Surv. Peter Akarogbe Barr. Jim Elueni, Chief Surveyor Elias Ovesuo.
Others are; Rt. Hon. Daniel Reyenieju, Barr. Omasan Agbajoh, Chief Rita Avberoba, Chief David Idoghor, Mr. Williams Omoviro, Hon. (Mrs.) Hoplyn Ayu, Mrs. Christabel Egbayinor, Mrs. Catherine Elohor Ogelowhoror, Mrs. Florence Elauwa, Chief (Barr.) Elohor Edivri, Mr. Mathew Ogunuku, Engr. Tuoyo Omatstuli, Bar. Raymos Guanah, Esq., and Arch Ambby Okuhor.
He noted that, “Please note that the SSA’s earlier appointed from the different nationalities are to act as a bridge between the Senatorial Management Committee and myself.”
