The Divisional Police Officer, Orerokpe, CSP Paul Oboware, has said the Police in Okpe Local Government Area will continue to discharge their duties with fairness, integrity, and respect for human rights.
CSP Oboware, who stated this during the end-of-year ceremony of the Police in Orerokpe, promised to take the fight against crime and criminality to the doorsteps of the criminals.
The Divisional Police Officer, Orerokpe, CSP Paul Oboware, said the event was to reflect on the outgoing year, appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of his men in ensuring peace and security.
He added that the event will help to strengthen the bond between the Orerokpe police station and its host communities.
CSP Paul Oboware noted that in the past year, they were faced with numerous challenges, but through professionalism, collaboration, and the support of some leaders from their host communities, they were able to make progress in maintaining law and order. He commended his officers and men for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to duty.
The Police Officer appreciated community leaders, youth groups, vigilantes, stakeholders, and other security agencies for their support and cooperation that have led to improved security within the division, noting that some persons, including Okakuro Solomon Erharhine, Okakuro Emmanuel Obeje, were honoured for their selfless support to the Division.
He advised youths to refrain from hard drugs, cultism, armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, arson and other violent crimes.
Police Chaplain, Rev. Emmanuel Akateme, while speaking on Thanking God for His Goodness, said thanksgiving to God must come from the heart and should be sacrificial.

Responding, an awardee, popular philanthropist and community leader, Okakuro Solomon Erharhine, thanked CSP Paul Oboware for the honour and for their efforts in protecting lives and property in the Division. He pledged to continue to support the Police Division at all times.
The Chairman, Okpe Local Government, Okakuro Isaiah Esiovwa, Director General WUEDA, Prince Godwin Ejinyere and Okakuro Emmanuel Obeje commended the DPO Orerokpe Division for the initiative and promised to continue to collaborate with him in ensuring a peaceful and crime-free society.
