Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aniocha North, Delta State, has endorsed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as the sole candidate for re-election in the 2027 general elections.
The party leaders Led by Chief Nkem Okwuofu, during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting on Wednesday, held at Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu’s Town Hall in Onicha-Uku, also commended the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, pledging their support for his return to the Green Chamber in 2027.
The PDP leaders applauded Governor Oborevwori’s achievements, particularly his commitment to the MORE Agenda, which has driven infrastructural growth, economic empowerment, and human capital development in Aniocha North.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Charles Ochei, the PDP Chairman in Aniocha North. Chief Dan Okenyi moved the motion for a confidence vote in Oborevwori, supported by Hon. Princess Tina Amuamuziam, and seconded by Mr. Clement Chiazor and Ogbuefe Nnamdi Mohayam. The motion was unanimously adopted.
Rt. Hon. Elumelu reaffirmed that Aniocha North remains a PDP stronghold, dismissing social media speculations to the contrary. He assured continued support for Governor Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and the party.
Chief Nkem Okwuofu urged members to remain loyal, promising that more political appointments were underway for party faithful. Other key figures at the event included Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, Dr. Daniel Odinigwe Odigie, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, and Hon. Chief Kress Njiokwuemeni, among others.
The leaders collectively praised Governor Oborevwori’s developmental strides and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the PDP’s dominance in Aniocha North ahead of 2027.
