Peller Crashes Car During Emotional Livestream

Popular TikTok creator and livestreamer Hamzat Habeeb, widely known as Peller, sparked widespread outrage and concern after crashing his car during a live broadcast on the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, during an Instagram livestream titled “RIP Peller,” which quickly went viral across social media platforms.

In the footage, Peller was seen driving alone in his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz while visibly distressed. He broke down in tears and spoke on the phone with someone believed to be his girlfriend, Jarvis, amid rumours that their relationship was coming to an end.

As the livestream went on, his emotional state appeared to deteriorate. At different moments, he sounded agitated and made disturbing remarks. At one point, he said he could deliberately crash the car, later admitting repeatedly that he was afraid.

He also expressed deep concern about being mocked online if the relationship ended. “If you break up with me, people will laugh at me,” he said, before making an even more alarming statement: “Thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”

Shortly afterward, the video showed him driving further along the road before slamming the car into a stone barrier. The livestream cut off shortly after the collision.

A separate video that later surfaced online showed people at the scene rushing to help him before he was taken to a hospital. However, details about the severity of his injuries have not been confirmed.

The incident triggered intense reactions online, with many calling on authorities to step in, while others questioned whether the episode was staged or an example of reckless content creation. As of the time of reporting, neither Peller nor any relevant authority had released an official statement.
