President of the Emadadja community in Udu Local Government Area, Comrade Felix Ighogboja has refuted claims that he flouted a State Government’s directive over the office of the Secretary General of the community.
Comrade Ighogboja made the statement in response to a protest by some members of the community last weekend, who alleged that the President, in connivance with certain individuals, deliberately refused to inaugurate Evang. Emmanuel Osiobe as directed by the State Government.
The President of Emadadja community, Comrade Felix Ighogboja, while expressing displeasure over allegations, explained that at the resolution of the leadership tussle in the community at the Government house annex, Warri, the Secretary General position was not decided.
He stressed that he Is deeply disturbed by the allegations and the controversy surrounding the Secretary General’s position, noting that the responsibility for the choice does not lie with the President but with the family whose turn it is to make the selection.

The President of Emadadja community, Comrade Felix Ighogboja, displayed a letter addressed to the Delta State Government, requesting its intervention by inviting the Ekrovie quarters and the two individuals, Emmanuel Osiobe and Emmanuel Omevwepha, who are both laying claim to the Secretary General position.
A former President of Emadadja community, Comrade Gabriel Tekpen, who attended the meeting at the Government House annex, Warri, reiterated that the impasse surrounding the Secretary General had been set aside.
It is hoped that the issue about the Secretary General of the Emadadja community would soon be resolved.
