The Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his dedication to grassroots development, especially the ongoing construction of the Ekpan–Ovu to Erhoike Road in Ethiope East Local Government Area.
Prof. Tonukari gave the commendation while hosting members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 11 Executive at his country home in Isiokolo. The meeting focused on strengthening the party’s structure and promoting unity at the community level.
He described the Ekpan–Ovu to Erhoike road project as a major infrastructural development that will enhance transportation, stimulate local trade, and improve the overall socioeconomic life of residents in the area.
The Commissioner also thanked Governor Oborevwori for his inclusive and people-centered leadership, noting that such developmental projects go beyond political affiliations and bring tangible benefits to ordinary citizens.
He also commended members of the APC in Ward 11 for their cooperation and for warmly embracing new members who recently joined from the PDP, describing their openness as a reflection of the party’s unity and growing strength.
In his remarks, the Ward Chairman, Mr. Roji Lawrence, praised Prof. Tonukari for his humility, accessibility, and exemplary leadership, noting that the meeting was both historic and motivating.
He added that the gathering offered valuable insights into current political developments and reinforced the members’ collective determination to advance the ward and the party as a whole.
