Robbers invade Western Delta University, Oghara

Suspected armed robbers on Thursday disrupted academic activities at Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.

The invaders gained access to the school premises through an unfenced perimeter at the back of the campus in an attempt to rob students.

The invasion was foiled following the quick response of the police who came almost immediately alarm was raised by the students who were already running into the bush for safety.

Confirming the incident, Delta State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe said: “They (suspected robbers) came in through the broken fence at the back of the school, but the Police responded swiftly and they all fled.”
