Rotarian Malik Abubakar has been installed as the 16th President of Rotary club of Osubi, Okpe local Government area of Delta state.
Rotarian Abubakar shortly after he was installed revealed that the club has earmarked an estimated budget of Nine Million , Three Hundred And Fifty Thousand Naira for community service Projects for 2025/2026 Rotary year.
The Newly installed President of the Rotary Club of Osubi , Rotarian Malik Abubakar disclosed that the projects to be executed by the club align with Rotary International’s seven areas of focus which includes Promoting Peace, Providing Clean Water, Supporting Education, Fighting Diseases, Growing Local Economies, Saving Mothers and Children as well as Supporting the Environment.
He further listed the estimated nine million , three hundred And fifty thousand naira community service Projects for 2025/2026 Rotary year to included back to school, provision of portable water in communities, visit to the Warri correction centre, conflict resolution issues, provision of kits to pregnant women, environmental sanitation exercises, financial assistance to twenty petty traders amongst others.
The newly installed President of Rotary Club of Osubi, Rotarian Abubakar appealed for financial support from members and friends of the club to enable it to create lasting changes in the club’s mandated communities.
Earlier the immediate Past President, Rotarian Gloria Omamogho while thanking members of the club, other Rotarians and Partners of the club for collaborating with the club in executing meaningful and impactful projects, solicited the same support to the newly installed President.

She revealed that Rotary Club of Osubi birthed a new club called Rotary Club of Uvwie Renaissance, adding that the club’s efforts have been recognized both internationally and at the district level with the presentation of several awards to the club for its outstanding performance in various areas.
For his part Rotary international District 9141 Governor Rotarian Anthony Woghiren represented by Assistant District Governor zone 6 Rotarian Nicholas Otobo asked the newly installed President and members of the club to give special attention to the provision of portable water in communities, which is the District PET project for 2025/2026 Rotary Year.
The installation ceremony featured Pep Talk on “Unite for good” by PAG Maria Niemoghan, Donations towards the execution of service projects, Cutting of cake , Inauguration of new Board of Directors, Award presentation amongst others.
