The Rotary Club of Warri, District 9141, has earmarked N20 million for education, health and empowerment, among others in the 2024/2025 Rotary year.
The newly-installed Regina Edukugho as the 46th president of Rotary Club of Warri, disclosed that various projects will be undertaken.
She made the disclosure during her investiture and fund-raising ceremony of the club in Warri, Delta State.
Edukugho said that they have resolved to pursue and implement the goals the club sets out for the Rotary year.
She added that the funds will be judiciously used for the benefit of humanity.
The new president affirmed that the club will carry out the renovation of health centre at Ugbori (Star project) equipping the already completed physiotherapy centre at Central Hospital, Warri by the club, facelift of Ajamimogha Bridge with solar lights and empowerment of traders, will in partnership with Arneaud Foundation, organise workshop on sex education in two selected secondary schools, erection of Rotary Bill Boards, medical and clothing, tree planting, environment, sanitation and upgrading of club’s existing projects.
“The Rotary Club of Warri has specially contributed immensely towards the development of its immediate communities and the society at large. We have built structures for the orphans, the deaf and dumb students at Don Domingos College, Warri, toilet and showers for the inmates of Correctional Centre, Okere Road Warri, Donation of Wheelchairs for the disabled, completed the physiotherapy centre at Central Hospital, Warri, a centennial monument to commemorate the 100 years of Rotary at Airport Road by Angle Park, among other projects executed by the club over the years,” she said.
She stated that the club in every Rotary year intentionally identifies and pursues new projects that will positively impact upon their immediate communities and humanity in line with Rotary International focus.
Edukugho assured that with the support of the board of the club, members and lovers of Rotary contributions will propel the club to greater level.

She solicited the support of members, individual and corporate organisations through donations to enable the club execute its laudable projects.
The immediate past president of the club, Faith Ovie said the club has embarked and completed some projects in the 2023/2024 Rotary year.
She affirmed that the physiotherapy centre at the Central Hospital, Warri was completed and handed over to the hospital and urged members to give the necessary support to the new president of the club in order to achieve its set targets.
