Sapele Council Chairman revolutionizes traffic flow with new by-laws, regulations

In a bold move to transform the Sapele Ultra Modern Market, the Executive Chairman, Sapele Local Government Council, Hon. (Chief) Bright Abeke, today, Monday, 20th January 2025, introduced an innovative two-way traffic system on Sapele Main Market Road, ushering in a new era of seamless traffic flow.

Traders, motorists, and road users are encouraged to embrace this positive change and adapt to the new traffic rules, which promise to greatly enhance their daily experiences.

While enacting the traffic by-law, Chief Abeke emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in making this new system a success and called upon the traders to make judicious use of the market rather than trading in the right of ways and causing traffic issues.

He urged the security agencies as well as the task force to ensure strict enforcement of traffic rules.

Looking ahead, Chief Abeke envisioned a brighter future where the successful implementation of these traffic reforms would have a profoundly positive impact on the local economy, environment, and public health.

Key stakeholders present at the enactment ceremony included the Vice Chairman, Leader of the Legislative arm, the Clerk of the house, Councillors, supervisors, security personnel, political appointees, and members of the press.
