Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy management and automation, is set to host its highly anticipated 2025 Innovation Day on Tuesday in Lagos.

The event will convene a powerful assembly of industry leaders, key government officials, and leading sustainability experts to strategically explore the pivotal role of technology in accelerating Nigeria’s critical energy transition.

The conference, themed “Competitive Advantage Through Automation and Sustainability,” is designed to be a dynamic platform showcasing how advanced digital technology, sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI), and data-driven solutions are fundamentally shaping sustainable economic growth and creating significantly more reliable and resilient energy systems across the nation.

In a statement released on Monday by the organizers, it was confirmed that attendees will be immersed in practical learning experiences, including live demonstrations and interactive sessions. These sessions are specifically tailored to highlight how the integration of modern technology can empower Nigerian industries to operate with enhanced efficiency, drastically reduce their carbon emissions footprint, and unlock entirely new avenues for business opportunities and innovation.

The event is slated to draw high-profile participation, underscoring its national significance. Expected attendees include the Representative of the Minister of Power, Adedayo Olowoniyi; the Consul General of France in Nigeria, Laurent Favier; and the Chief Executive Officer of Ikeja Electric, Folake Soetan. They will be joined by senior executives from Schneider Electric, alongside key customers and strategic industry partners.

Mr. Ajibola Akindele, the Country President of Schneider Electric Nigeria, emphasized the strategic importance of the gathering. “Across Africa, energy remains the indispensable foundation of industrial progress and sustainable development,” Akindele stated. “Innovation Day provides a vital platform to exchange cutting-edge ideas, inspire crucial collaboration between sectors, and accelerate the innovation required to make energy more reliable, efficient, and, critically, accessible to all Nigerians.”

The program features several thought leadership sessions led by global and regional executives, including Walid Sheta, Zone President for the Middle East and Africa, and Canninah Dladla, Cluster President for English-speaking Africa.

Crucially, the 2025 Innovation Day will also feature a segment dedicated to celebrating young energy innovators selected from universities across Nigeria. This recognition reflects Schneider Electric’s deep commitment to talent development and its strategic focus on nurturing the next generation of technology-enabled energy leaders who will drive the nation’s future sustainability goals.
