Delta North Senatorial District was filled with excitement and renewed optimism on Monday as Senator Prince Ned Nwoko praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the historic flag-off of the Agbor flyover project in Ika South Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Delta North, Senator Nwoko described the Governor’s visit as both timely and highly symbolic, noting that it represents a clear commitment to the state government’s transformation agenda.
He described the flyover as a major milestone for the district, explaining that upon completion it would help save lives, reduce traffic congestion, enhance the movement of people and goods, and stimulate economic activities across Delta North. According to him, the project goes beyond physical infrastructure, as it is a strategic investment in public safety, economic expansion, and improved urban mobility.
The Senator noted that the long-anticipated flyover would ease pressure on key traffic routes, lower the risk of accidents, and create a more attractive environment for businesses, residents, and investors.
Senator Nwoko also applauded Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to infrastructure development and expressed optimism that other important regional projects would soon be completed. He specifically mentioned the Okpai Power Plant Step-Down Project and the Ogwashi-Uku Dam, stressing that steady electricity and water supply are essential for sustainable development and a better quality of life for the people.
He added that the Governor’s presence in the district reaffirmed Delta North’s importance in the state’s development plans and pledged his continued collaboration with the state government to advance the district’s progress.
The Senator concluded by calling for unity among leaders and citizens, emphasizing that meaningful development can only be achieved through cooperation, shared responsibility, and a common vision.
