Senator Ned Nwoko met on Sunday with the Delta North Senatorial Executives, all nine Local Government Chairmen, and 98 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the district, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and unify the party across Delta North.
The meeting, held at the Asaba home of Delta North APC Chairman Ogbueishi Adizue Eluaka, centered on reinforcing the party’s structure, building unity, and discussing ways to strategically align with the federal government’s Renewed Hope agenda and the state’s M.O.R.E development plan.
Speaking to the Delta North APC leaders, Senator Nwoko described the meeting as a coming together of brothers united by a shared vision. He expressed his gratitude to the party leaders for their support and solidarity.
The federal lawmaker emphasized that he serves as a senator at the National Assembly for the benefit of all the people of Delta North, stressing that his commitment goes beyond party lines or social status.
Senator Nwoko highlighted some of his accomplishments over the past two years, including the construction of roads, installation of solar-powered electricity and water systems, renovation of schools in various Delta communities, as well as the launch of skill acquisition programs and the creation of job opportunities for his constituents, among other projects.
He also spoke about his push to upgrade the Federal College of Education, Asaba, into a full-fledged university, as well as his efforts to establish a College of Agriculture in Idumuje Ugboko, aimed at supporting the agricultural development needs of Delta North.
Senator Nwoko stated that his goal in joining the National Assembly was to bring about meaningful change in society, emphasizing that his bills and motions are focused on addressing the needs of the people.
The Senator also addressed the push for the creation of Anioma State, calling it the heart of his vision for the Anioma people. He expressed strong confidence that Anioma State would eventually become a reality and urged everyone to support the movement for the sake of both current and future generations.
Speaking on behalf of the Aniocha/Oshimili, Ndokwa/Ukwuani, and Ika federal constituencies, ward chairmen Frank Asimonye, Goodman Enudeme, and Jude Ossai praised Senator Nwoko for his impactful representation of Delta North in the Senate. They especially commended his generosity and commitment to improving the material well-being of the people, and assured him of their continued support and loyalty.
The meeting was attended by the APC senatorial executive members along with the chairmen of the nine local government areas in Delta North. These included Hon. Matthew Chinye (Aniocha North), Hon. Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma (Aniocha South), Hon. Austin C. Nnabuife (Oshimili North), Hon. Dada Okolo (Oshimili South), Hon. Hilary Fada Ibude (Ika South), Hon. Samuel Ekene Kerry (Ika North East), Chief Oputa Kris (Ndokwa East), Hon. Dike Onah (Ndokwa West), and Churchill Ugoena Edem (Ukwuani). Also present were all 98 ward chairmen from across the senatorial district.
