Senator Ned Nwoko Confident of Anioma State Creation

Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, has voiced confidence that Anioma State will eventually be established as Nigeria’s 37th state.

Senator Nwoko gave this assurance on Monday, during a large gathering with his kinsmen, which included leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Idumuje Ward 8 in Aniocha North Local Government Area Delta State.

Speaking to the gathering at Mount Ned Resort in his ancestral home of Idumuje-Ugboko, Senator Nwoko stated that Anioma has met all the necessary criteria for statehood, adding that its creation is only a matter of time, especially with preparations underway for a referendum. He noted that President Bola Tinubu’s administration, along with key stakeholders and socio-cultural groups across the country, are fully behind the push for Anioma State.

The senator also urged the people to remain united and continue supporting the movement for the state’s creation.

He expressed his gratitude to his kinsmen, saying he was proud to be the first senator in the history of both the Idumuje clan and Aniocha North. He also thanked them sincerely for their support and goodwill.

Senator Nwoko highlighted the social infrastructure and empowerment programs he has introduced since taking office, reaffirming his commitment to always act in the best interest of his constituents in Delta North.

As Chancellor of Sports University in Idumuje-Ugboko, he also encouraged parents and guardians in Ward 8 and across Delta North to take advantage of the scholarship program he launched at the institution, emphasizing its potential to secure a brighter future for their children.
