The Sheriff Jnr Care Foundation, founded by Fred Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr, son of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has empowered 150 Petty Traders in Uvwie, Okpe and Sapele local Government Areas with the sum of 173 Million Naira to celebrate Sheriff Jnr’s 40th Birthday Anniversary
During the Birthday Anniversary celebration held at Osubi, on Saturday in Okpe local Government Area, two out of the 150 Beneficiaries received a cheque of 15 Million Naira and 10 Million Naira respectively while other 148 Beneficiaries received a cheque of 1 Million Naira each.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who lauded the Sheriff junior Foundation for given a life line to the businesses of the Beneficiaries through the financial assistance, said it was an initiative born out of love, dedication and a genuine commitment to service.
The Governor commended his son, for making him proud, adding that Sheriff Jnr, has shown resilience, strength of character, and independence over the years.
He noted that for the past 10 years, Junior has not come to him asking for favours or luxuries, pointing out that instead, he had relied on his own effort, building his life with honesty and diligence.

He pointed out that the greatest gift parents can give to their children is Education and proper upbringing, adding that, with Education and proper upbringing, the children will never become burdens, but blessings.
In his remarks, the celebrant, Mr. Sheriff Jnr. Oborevwori said the Foundation was not born out of abundance, but out of necessity, saying that as someone who has known what it means to struggle, and to rise each day with determination, he understand deeply that giving back to society was not a luxury but a responsibility.
Mr Oborevwori disclosed that the empowerment programme speaks directly to the heart of the economy and culture.
