Soldiers of the 88 Regular Recruit Intake posted to the 3 Battalion Nigeria Army, Effurun Barracks “Rear” have been challenged to Uphold the values of the Nigerian Army and be combat ready to eliminate insurgency and banditry currently bedeviling the country.
Speaking at a ceremony organized after a four weeks intensive training for the soldiers who were posted to 3 Battalion, Nigerian Army Effurun Barracks, the Commander 63 Brigade, Brigadier General Moronfolu Shonibare tasked them to uphold the values of the Nigerian Army and display high levels of professionalism in the discharge of their constitutional responsibility.
“The objective of the training was clear, to prepare you to excel in diverse challenges of military operations with particular emphasis during internal security and counter insurgency operations.”

The Commanding Officer, 3 Battalion REAR, Major Muhammad Sama in his remarks urged them to show dedication and be battle ready at all times.
The event had in attendance, the chairman of Uvwie Local Government, Hon Anthony Ofoni, Chairman of Warri South, Comrade Weyimi Agbateyiniro including the Manager Operations of Tantita Security Services, Chief Tare Pondi and other notable personalities.
