Sports University, Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State admits 500

Sports University of Nigeria at Idumuje-Ugboko in Delta State has admitted 500 undergraduates to kick start academic programmes in the institution. Their admission was granted by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2023/2024 session.

The founder, the senator representing Delta North, Prince Ned Nwoko, who engaged over 1,000 youths drawn from the senatorial district in Asaba yesterday, said the university has been fully accredited for aquatic sports development.

He said: “JAMB has admitted 500 students to Sports University in Delta.

“The academic session will commence by September this year, but for aquatic sports; swimming, boat racing and any sport that has to do with water.

“Ndokwa nation, Ewulu and others will be at a great advantage. The university will build its aquatic department within Ndokwa nation.”

Sports University of Nigeria Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State is a first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.
