Super  Falcons Triumph 3-0 Over Benin Republic: Kareem Secures Victory with Brilliant Brace

The Nigerian national women’s U-20 team, the Falconets, turned on the style as they cruised to a commanding 3–0 victory over the Benin Republic in their ongoing WAFU B U-20 Women’s Championship campaign.

It was a display of flair, discipline, and teamwork from the young Nigerian side, who showed exactly why they remain one of Africa’s most consistent forces in women’s football. Leading the charge was the ever-lively forward Ramotalahi Kareem, whose pace and precision proved too much for the Beninese defense to handle.

Kareem opened the scoring midway through the first half with a composed finish after a flowing team move that split open the opposition backline. She doubled Nigeria’s advantage early in the second half, pouncing on a rebound to fire home her brace a moment that all but sealed the outcome of the contest. Her exceptional performance earned her the Player of the Match award, a fitting recognition for her attacking brilliance.

The Falconets didn’t take their foot off the gas either. Substitute Precious Oscar added the icing on the cake late in the game, tapping in from close range to make it 3–0 and underline Nigeria’s dominance.

Head coach Moses Aduku praised his players for their professionalism and hunger, noting that the victory was “a reflection of the team’s hard work and unity.” He also commended Kareem for her leadership on the pitch, saying her confidence and composure lifted the entire squad.

With back-to-back wins now under their belt, the Falconets have established themselves as strong contenders for the title. Their ability to combine attacking flair with defensive solidity has been a key ingredient in their success so far.

As they look ahead to their next fixture, the Nigerian youngsters will aim to build on this momentum and continue flying the country’s flag high on the regional stage.
