The Fall of Nigeria and Its Leaders

Nigerians are a very unlucky people. We had Buhari whose head was empty as a drum. From all that we know today, whatever disease killed him (my bet was a leukaemia or lymphoma) would have taken him away shortly after 2015 had he not become president.

If we can remember, the man disappeared for six whole months during his first term.

The man simply used Nigeria to prolong his life and ruined the country in the process with his cluelessness.

Note that the same man did not last two years after leaving power.

Today, we have a similar scenario with slightly different circumstances.

Tinubu had a very visible tremor (shaking) during the campaigns.

There was a photo of him carrying what looked like a PICC line (semi-permanent cannula for long term drug administration)

Then from the middle of nowhere, he would utter nonsensical words that made no meaning (remember “balablu” “bulaba”)

In recent months, his symptoms have included falls.

The issue is not the fall in itself.

Anybody can fall.

There is the frequency, but even that can be argued.

My focus is the manner of fall, the mechanism as we would say in medicine.

News: Federal & State Governments, Biafran Independence & Pragmatic Diplomacy

When healthy people fall, the recovery in coordination makes them attempt to break that fall.

Which is why you hardly see healthy people who fall ever hit their head on the ground (head injury). Except alcoholic drunkards of course.

The manner Tinubu falls, strongly suggests that coordination to protect or break a fall is GONE.

I have seen at least two falls where his head struck the ground.

Now, when an old man who is known for talking nonsense when he is not under close supervision, has obvious gait instability and starts falling the way Tinubu did, it is unlikely to be merely ageing.

Even ordinary walking betrays a lack of motor coordination.

Ladies and Gentlemen, until proven otherwise, this man has a neuro-degenerative disorder (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, MSA etc)

And neuro-degenerative disorders are PROGRESSIVE.

They will only get worse.

Medicines can dull the effect but with time, even those will stop working.

It is a shame that we have had two back to back presidents whose health cases were patch work from the very beginning.

We are indeed a shameless people.

While America was fretting over an ordinary bruise on the hand of their president, questioning the possibility of any underlying ailment, Nigerians are debating and decamping to elect a man whose serious enough symptoms in public view already show a man whose health should disqualify him from any office.

And some out of ethnic chauvinism, religious supremacy, and economic mercantilism, will vote against the interest of the collective.

Sometimes I feel God allows us to suffer our leaders because we are an extremely stupid people.

Imagine talking about electing a FALLER without motor control, who says unintelligible words when not supervised, for another four years!!!

Tinubu will not lead Nigeria if elected into office.

Rather, Nigeria will be rehabilitating him in Aso Rock.
