Transport Commissioner Agofure assures Publishers of Community Newspapers robust synergy

Delta State Transport Commissioner, Mr Onoriode Agofure has assured Publishers of Community Newspapers of a symbiotic relationship.

Agofure gave the assurance when the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the State Governor on Community Newspapers Publishers, Comrade Prince Joseph Orhomonokpaye and other Community Newspapers Publishers paid him a familiarization visit in his Office in the Asaba the State Capital.

He reiterated the importance of the 4th(fourth) Estate of the realm, stressing that “with the Community newspapers Publishers,dissemination of information on Government policies and Programmes becomes easier,as it concerns the grass root”.

The Commissioner added that”publishing the good works of the State Government was key and crucial to the entire society “. He equally added that without the press so many developmental strides would not be known to the grassroot and the larger society.

Agofure commended the Publishers to keep doing their noble job of disseminating balance reports, while he assured them of a symbiotic relationship.

Responding earlier, Comrade Prince Joseph Orhomonokpaye on behalf of other Publishers, commended the Commissioner for his friendly disposition and for his assurance of a synergy with them.

The SSA, appreciated the State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the appointment of Mr Agofure Onoriode into his Cabinet.

Present during the visit were the Publishers of Urhobo Voice, Isoko Mirror amongst others.
