Ubulu-Uku ward 5 APC stakeholders declare support for Sen Nwoko

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 5, Ubulu-Uku, have declared their unwavering support for Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.

The Leaders lauded Nwoko as the political backbone of the community and a benchmark for effective representation in Delta North.

The endorsement came during a well-attended ward meeting on Saturday, at the residence of the ward’s political leader, Prince Fred Mordi.

Representing the Senator Nwoko was his Deputy Chief of Staff and fellow ward member, Mr. Chiedu Abili, who delivered the Senator’s goodwill message and policy updates.

Abili conveyed Senator Nwoko’s appreciation for the continued loyalty and engagement of the ward’s political base, reaffirming that Ubulu-Uku holds a special place in the Senator’s heart. “Ubulu is not just a constituency, it is home,” Abili said.

“The Senator understands the challenges here and is constantly strategizing on how to bring development closer to the people.”

Abili urged the members to seize the moment by participating fully in the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.

The meeting also touched on broader strategic imperatives, especially the Anioma State Creation Bill (SB. 481), championed by Senator Nwoko and scheduled for public hearing in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on July 4–5, 2025.

Abili emphasized the historical significance of the bill and encouraged Ward 5 members to be part of the landmark process.

In a moment of policy affirmation, Abili also announced three major federal projects secured for Ubulu-Uku under the 2025 Appropriation Act through Senator Nwoko’s intervention. These include:

Channelization and erosion control of the Onicha-Ugbo/Ubulu-Uku road to protect lives and property.

Construction of an Akwa Ocha textile factory, aimed at empowering women, creating jobs, and preserving Anioma’s cultural legacy.

Installation of solar-powered streetlights across strategic locations in the town to enhance safety and improve the local economy after dark.

This public endorsement by APC stakeholders in a traditionally multi-party environment speaks volumes about Senator Nwoko’s growing political capital and the respect he commands across party lines.
