Ughelli North Council Chairman, Jaro Egbo, signs N17.6b Appropriation Bill into law

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North LGA, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo Ksc, Wednesday assented to the local government’s 2025 Appropriation Bill of Seventeen billion, six hundred and five million, eight hundred and six thousand, five hundred and forty-two naira, twelve kobo (17,605,816,542.12).

The Council boss said “The budget tagged ‘Meaningful Development’ is aligned with the M.O.R.E Agenda policy,” noting that the approved budget is made up of capital expenditure and recurrent expenditure.

While signing the budget estimate into law, Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Egbo stated that “the 2025 budget estimate was geared towards fostering infrastructural development and enhanced security sector.” The budget comprised six capital projects.

He emphasized the budget’s significant impact on human capital development, including empowerment initiatives for youths and women across the local government area.

“It is with immense joy that I have assented to this budget estimate tagged ‘Budget for Meaningful Development,’ 6 days after its presentation to the 8th Legislative Assembly Ughelli North LGA, led by Rt.Hon. Prosper Okeoghene Ajero,” he said.

“The comprehensive budget has been drafted in such a manner that it will impact positively on the promotion and preservation of public trust and our well-being.”

“This reaffirms our commitment to advancing Ughelli North LGA and reinforcing the MORE agenda policy of Gov Oberovwori, through prompt and quality service delivery.
