Ughelli/Udu Constituency Forum backs Oborevwori’s defection to APC

The Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency Forum has backed the defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congres (APC)

The forum described the governor’s defection as a bold and visionary step with great potential for the people of Delta State.

Gov. Oborevwori, along with the entire PDP structure in Delta State, officially joined the APC on Monday, marking a new chapter in the state’s political landscape.

Chairman of the forum, Olorogun John Oguma, declared the forum’s unwavering support for the governor’s political realignment, calling it a strategic move that promises increased developmental opportunities for Deltans.

“This is a courageous and calculated decision by our governor. It goes beyond party politics, it’s about delivering greater value and unlocking new possibilities for our people.

“We believe this defection will open more doors for federal support and foster better synergy in governance,” Oguma stated.

He further assured that the forum will continue to back the governor, expressing confidence in his ability to fulfill his promises under the new political platform.

“Our forum is fully committed to supporting him. We urge all sons and daughters of the constituency to remain united during this new phase of our political journey. Our shared goal remains the development, peace, and prosperity of all Deltans,” he added.

Oguma also called on the people of Delta State to continue supporting the governor’s MORE agenda, emphasising that it remains active and will only be enhanced under the new political alignment.
