The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Ajede Possible, on Tuesday led a delegation to Umutu Community for the official handover of a renovated six-unit toilet facility at Ethiope Primary School.
He was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nkechi Echigbue, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Durell Kenchoni Ossai, Secretary to the Local Government, Comr. Chukwunomnazu Osondu, and other officials.
The project was initiated by Hon. Ossaiugba Gaventa, Councillor representing Umutu DSIEC Ward 17, who said the intervention was a response to the pressing needs of the community after due consultations.

During the ceremony, Hon. Ajede officially handed over the facility to the school’s Head Teacher. He urged teachers and pupils to use the toilets responsibly and maintain them regularly. The Chairman also announced the provision of a new generator to power water supply from the recently drilled borehole.
In her remarks, the Head Teacher expressed gratitude to the Chairman and the Councillor for their commitment, assuring that the facility would be properly maintained for the benefit of the pupils and staff.
