The Urhobo Youth Wing of the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), Delta State Chapter, has congratulated High Chief. Oweizide Ekpomupolo, aka Tompolo, and the Management of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited over the renewal of the pipeline surveillance contract by the Federal Government.
The group also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what they described as a bold and strategic decision in the interest of national economic stability.
Speaking on behalf of the Urhobo HOSTCOM Youth Wing, the Youth Leader, Comrade Sweet Otiotio, thanked the Federal Government for refusing to bow to pressures from what he termed “dissenting voices driven by selfish interests.
He noted that the renewal of the contract is a clear acknowledgment of the outstanding performance of Tantita Security Services in safeguarding critical oil and gas infrastructure across the Niger Delta region.
Comrade Otiotio emphasized that since Tantita took over the surveillance operations, there has been a remarkable reduction in oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and illegal refining activities.
According to him, this has significantly boosted Nigeria’s crude oil production capacity and improved revenue generation, thereby strengthening the nation’s economy.
He described the development as a win-win for both the Federal Government and host communities.
Also lending his voice, the Secretary of the Urhobo HOSTCOM Youth Wing, Hon. Happy Gbeke, reiterated the group’s unwavering support for the renewed contract. He stated that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to continuity, efficiency, and community-driven security solutions.
Gbeke further urged stakeholders in the Niger Delta to rally behind Tantita and support its operations for sustained peace and development in the region.
The Urhobo youths, however, called on all well-meaning Nigerians to disregard negative narratives aimed at discrediting the achievements of Tantita Security Services.
They reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of Tompolo and pledged continued cooperation with relevant authorities to ensure lasting security, economic growth, and prosperity in oil-producing communities across Delta State and the wider Niger Delta.
