Vigilante, youths arrest 4 suspected armed robbers in Aladja community, Udu LGA

Following the growing insecurity and cases of robbery in Aladja, Udu LGA of Delta State, four suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the vigilante and youths of the community.

The vigilante also recovered a gun from one of the suspects.

The arrested suspects include Kelvin Osgood Dukuye ‘m’ 25; Roger ‘m’ 30; Philip Faka ‘m’ 28 and Debi ‘m’ 32.

They have been handed over to the police at Divisional Police Headquarters, Ovwian/Aladja in Udu LGA.

The suspected armed robbers were arrested at different locations in Aladja community robbing people of their money, phones, POS machines amongst others at gun point.

It was learnt the the suspects have also confessed to the crimes.

Some of the victims had also identified the suspects as those who allegedly robbed them before and after the Christmas celebration.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, is yet to reply a confirmation of the report.
