Waive Applauds Otovwodo Flyover Initiative

The lawmaker representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Rev.) Francis Ejiroghene Waive, has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the commencement of the Otovwodo Flyover Bridge in Ughelli, describing the project as a lasting legacy that will greatly enhance movement and improve the standard of living in the area.

Speaking in a statement to commemorate the groundbreaking ceremony, Waive said the governor’s impact is visible across Delta State through projects that will endure for generations. He noted that the flyover forms part of initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people and setting a new standard for governance in the state.

He further observed that the Otovwodo Flyover Bridge places Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency among areas benefiting from major infrastructural development under the Oborevwori administration. According to him, the constituency has now joined the list of communities enjoying flyover bridge projects, expressing gratitude to the governor for the intervention.

Waive said the project has sparked renewed hope for additional development within the constituency and beyond, adding that it signals the possibility of more large-scale projects across Delta State. He also revealed that the reconstruction of the Udu Bridge to ECN Road has been included in the state’s 2026 budget, with plans for contract awards to be made in the first quarter of the year.

The federal lawmaker concluded by offering prayers for the governor, wishing him continued good health and wisdom, and asking God to protect and guide him through 2031 and beyond while using him as an instrument of blessing to humanity.
