Warri South legislature slams indefinite suspension on Hon. Ibiri representing Okumagba I, Ward 9

The Legislative Arm of Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State, has slammed indefinite suspension on the Councillor representing Okumagba I, Ward 9 in the Legislative Arm, Hon. Lucky Ibiri.

The indefinite suspension “without benefits, which was announced by the House during plenary Thursday January 9, was consequent upon “gross misconduct” by Hon. Ibiri.

The plenary, was presided over by Hon. (Chief) Eghere Udumetotor, who acted as Leader Pro-tempo, because Leader of the House, Hon. Joy Ejumudo and the Deputy Leader, Hon. Emmanuel Egbe, were on an official assignment.

Hon. Ibiri, was allegedly found guilty of lying, fighting and insulting Leader of the House, Hon. Joy Ejumudo, after thorough investigation by a Disciplinary Committee set up by the House.

The Disciplinary Committee, which was chaired by Hon. Thompson Eyomi, with Mrs. Odibio Patience as Secretary, recommended that Hon Lucky Ibiri, tender written apology to the House, Leader of the House, the Majority Leader, the Deputy Majority Leader and Hon. (Chief) Eghere Udumetotor.
