Shooting Stars gave their home fans a reason to celebrate with a clinical performance against title-chasers Enyimba. Lucky Emmanuel opened the floodgates in the 17th minute, setting the tone for the afternoon.

Enyimba struggled to find an equalizer throughout the match, and their misery was compounded late in the second half. Away Day Masterclass: Pillars, Insurance, and Wolves

While 3SC dominated at home, three other clubs proved that winning on the road is becoming more common in the modern NPFL.

  • Kano Pillars: The “Sai Masu Gida” traveled to Lafia and secured a massive 1-0 win against Nasarawa United. Chiedozie Okorie was the hero of the day, netting the winner in the 49th minute.
  • Bendel Insurance: Continuing their fine form, Insurance silenced the Ilorin crowd with a 1-0 victory over Kwara United. Emmanuel Akpan’s 37th-minute goal was all that was needed to secure the maximum points.
