Wives of Delta Commissioners endorse 'You Matter Charity Foundation', become Ambassadors

The Wife of Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has welcomed the wives of commissioners in the state towards her pet project, the You Matter Charity Foundation.

Deaconess Oborevwori disclosed this during a visit from the Forum of Commissioners’ Wives Delta State on a courtesy visit to the government house, Asaba Delta State.

The Governor wife urged the women to be available whenever the foundation beckons as they are ambassadors of the project.

“As wives of Commissioners, you are already Ambassadors of the You Matter Charity Foundation, my pet project. I need your support to drive this vehicle, which is already loaded with goodies, to better the lives of Deltans. Your support and commitment will enable us to achieve our goal. Get ready to work; I am convinced that you will give your best” she added.

She however enjoined the commissioners’ wives to embrace God and support their husbands and the state government with steadfast prayers, stressing that abiding by the spiritual injunction of ‘pray without ceasing’, will always get their prayers answered.

She further encouraged them to spice up their marital lives with expressions of love, saying that it is an investment that bears rewards. “Don’t always be at the receiving end, surprise your husbands, that is the way to go,’ she said.

Meanwhile, the leader of the delegation and the wife of the Commissioner for Energy, Mrs. Efe Ehiwarior, said the reason for the visit was to congratulate Governor Oborevwori on his court victories and to also identify with the governor’s wife.

While commending the achievements of Deaconess Oborevwori, Mrs. Ehiwarior said the forum is fully ready to support the You Matter Charity Foundation to fulfil its vision of creating a world where the worth of any individual is valued.
