Woman, 3-month-old baby kidnapped along Eku-Abraka Road

Incessant kidnapping has become the order of the day in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, precisely Eku-Abraka road, as a woman, Mrs. Marian Aganbi and her 3 month-old-baby had been abducted by kidnappers.

According to a close family source, the abduction occurred on Sunday night along Eku-Abraka road when she was returning from a visit to her parents who live in Eku.

According to another anonymous source, Mrs. Aganbi left Eku on the said day at 8pm and was returning to Abraka where she resides with her husband, Mr. Prayer Aganbi, when the incident occurred.

Further investigation revealed that via a chat and call to the husband of the victim, the kidnappers demanded the sum of N15 million for the wife and N10 million for the baby, totaling N25 million.

The devastated husband who is said not to have the said sum, is presently in Eku to meet with his wife’s parents to find a way to get Marian and the baby released by the kidnappers who gave him 24 hours to make the payment.

As of the time of this report, efforts to reach the Delta State PPRO Bright Edafe proved abortive.
