WUEDA Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Project Delivery, Warns Against Misleading Criticism

The Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency (WUEDA) has restated its unwavering commitment to ensuring that all ongoing and completed projects strictly adhere to contractual specifications and quality standards.

The Director General of the agency, Prince Godwin Ejinyere, made this known on Monday during an inspection tour of ongoing drainage projects being executed by the agency, as well as an assessment of the functionality of previously completed works.

Ejinyere, who was accompanied by senior officials of the agency, emphasized that the agency remains guided by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s firm stance against substandard work. According to him, WUEDA is fully aligned with the governor’s zero-tolerance policy on project quality and accountability.

He also urged members of the public to disregard individuals he described as seeking cheap popularity by attacking the state government without facts. Ejinyere stressed that all terms of contracts awarded by the agency are available for public scrutiny, underscoring the administration’s commitment to transparency.

“We want the public to know that WUEDA is operating within a framework of accountability and transparency. Anyone who is genuinely concerned about any project can access the terms and specifications. This is not the time for baseless allegations,” he stated.

The DG reiterated that the agency is focused on delivering lasting infrastructural solutions that will benefit the people of Warri, Uvwie, and surrounding communities, urging residents to support the government’s efforts rather than engage in divisive rhetoric.
