Nollywood actor Yemi Ayebo, better known as “Yemi My Lover,” has put award-winning rapper Olamide on blast for allegedly overlooking him after incorporating his nickname into a song.
The seasoned actor shared this information in a recent interview on social media, stating that even though Olamide’s 2013 hit “Turn Up” brought significant recognition to his moniker, the artist has never reached out or compensated him.
He noted that the inclusion of his name in music and other content has boosted his popularity. “Olamide was the first to mention my name in his song, and it made me so happy.
My name is blessed by God; that’s why both Davido, Olamide, and other skit creators are using it,” he said.

Yemi My Lover mentioned that the Afrobeats star has been dodging his calls and texts for several months, expressing his disappointment over the lack of recognition.
Although Yemi’s nickname turned into a viral trend, he claims he holds no resentment but rather seeks proper acknowledgment. The discussion continues, as influencers frequently adopt personas without formal agreements.
