Your petitions are distracting Governor Oborevwori - Delta group tells APC, others

A group called Concerned Deltans in Abuja has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties in Delta State to withdraw their petitions against the victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group said while they acknowledged the rights of the aggrieved parties to seek legal recourse in their pursuit of power, the litigations serve as unnecessary distractions to the state’s governance, leading to a waste of resources and time.

A statement signed by the group’s president, Deacon Chijioke Isiekwene and its secretary, Mr David Okiokio, however encouraged the petitioners to collaborate with the governor to achieve unity and an all-inclusive government.

The group appealed to the parties to adopt a more sportsmanship and patriotic approach by joining forces with the governor to elevate Delta State’s prosperity and progress.

“We call upon all well-meaning Deltans to rally behind the governor and his administration. By doing so, they believe the state can be propelled to achieve its destined greatness on both the national and global stage.

“With confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s ability to effectively manage various constituencies and navigate the complexities of diversity, the group trusts that he will not only fulfill his ambitious agenda but also lead Delta State towards progress on multiple fronts.”
