An enlarged body of Isoko Women in Politics in Delta state has passed a vote of explicit confidence on Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori. The group also endorsed the governor for a second tenure in 2027.
The vote of confidence was moved by the Vice Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Dr Barr Evelyn Aluta and was duly seconded by Hon Evelyn Avro a state PDP stalwart during the group’s courtesy visit to the wife of the Governor, Deaconess Mrs Tobore Oborevwori.
Earlier in her speech, the Leader of the delegation and Legal Director in the State’s Board of Internal Revenue Hon Barr Orezi Esievo lauds the Governor’s developmental strides in the state as it surpasses the expectations of all Deltans irrespective of party affiliations.
”The Governor has done so well with his MORE agenda maestro which includes infrastructural development, health care delivery, roads construction, construction of the longest fly over in the world in Warri, Educational support system, purchase of security vehicles and gadgets, human capital development and lots more, Esievo added.
Hon Esievo stated that the group is so proud of the Governor and his supportive wife with her pet project “You Matter Foundation” which caters for special children, vulnerables, school dropouts, youths and women development.
While thanking the Governor for the various appointments given to the women from the area, Hon Esievo pleaded for more appointments on those who has been working diligently for the party since 1999 while noting that the women will work so hard to see to the emergence of the Governor for second term in 2027.
Meanwhile the Governor’s wife Deaconess Mrs Tobore Oborevwori urged the women to love themselves and stop every “Pull Her Down” syndrome that will jeopardize the group.
Mrs Oborevwori urged the women to remain committed to the PDP , noting that loyalty, focus, patience and love for Party remains a determinant for reward in Party Politics.
” We know God is on our side and 2027 is a done deal by God’s grace but we will not take anything for granted. We are going to embark on Political evangelism, geared towards welcoming more people into our Party, empowering more women in the state so that the election in 2027 will be an easy one for us all” .
The wife of the Governor who was so elated with the visit thanked the women for as she promised to support them for development and that she will operate an open door policy for easy access to discuss issues that will bring development to the state.
