Ughelli North and South Council Chairmen Egbo, Avweromre intervene in Ewu, Edjekota crisis

The Chairman of Ughelli North council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo alongside his counterpart, the Chairman of Ughelli South, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, successfully intervened in the communal clashes between Ewu and Edjekota Ogor communities, which tragically claimed two innocent lives and left several injured.

Their prompt action led to the restoration of peace, and both chairmen have agreed to meet with the warring communities to enhance peace and security in the area.

Olorogun Egbo and Avweromre also visited the victims in hospital.

They have since ordered security forces to take immediate action to restore peace in the affected areas. The Delta State Operation Sweep personnel are currently patrolling Edjekota and Ewu to ensure the continued safety and security of both Ewu and Edjekota communities.
