The Adjekimoni community in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has appealed to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to bring back the contractor handling the road project in the area to complete the work.

The road project was initiated by the NDDC but has been abandoned for several months, leaving the residents in a state of discomfort and hardship.

A resident of the community, Mr. Emma Utaka, while addressing journalists, expressed the community’s frustration with the abandoned project.

“We are disappointed and frustrated that the road project had been abandoned for so long.

“The contractor stopped work several months ago, and we have been left with a half-finished road that is causing a lot of hardship,” he lamented.

Utaka appealed to the NDDC to intervene and bring back the contractor to complete the project.

“We are begging the NDDC to bring back the contractor to complete the road project.

“We need a good road to access our homes and bring business opportunities for us.

“The current state of the road is affecting our daily lives and economic activities.“Residents of Adjekimoni community feel that they deserve better infrastructure.

“We are not asking for too much. We just want a good road that will make our lives better.

“We are calling on the NDDC to come to our aid and complete the road project,” Utaka said.
