Benjamin Sharta Celebrates Oborevwori’s Landmark Award

Benjamin Sharta, widely known as DJ Ben and Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, has openly applauded Sheriff Oborevwori following his emergence as Governor of the Year 2025 in a notable double award recognition.

In a message that quickly gained traction on social media, Sharta described the honour as well deserved, saying it reflects a style of leadership focused on measurable achievements rather than empty rhetoric. He commended the governor for translating the M.O.R.E Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Economic Advancement—into real progress across critical sectors such as infrastructure, community empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development.

According to him, the administration’s accomplishments are evident in ongoing urban renewal efforts, better road networks linking rural communities, strengthened security initiatives, and inclusive growth programmes that have attracted broad praise.

Sharta’s remarks underscore what many observers describe as rising public confidence in the governor’s practical approach to governance, marked by regular town-hall engagements and close attention to grassroots concerns. Political commentators see the double award as both an endorsement of the administration’s performance so far and a boost to sustain its development drive.

As Delta State continues to evolve under Oborevwori’s leadership, the Governor of the Year 2025 recognition is being viewed as a landmark moment in the state’s ongoing pursuit of progress and accountable governance.
